Hi
Any advice will be greatly appreciated here i am at my wits end with this.
I received am email back in January from Lowell Finance for someone else who lives in Swansea trying to collect a credit card debt (i live in Devon and my name is not the same as the person on the letter)
I notified Lowell that the email address they had sent this to did not belong to the person they where after and i did not know the person and they said they would remove my email address from the persons account. (Don't know how it got there in the first place as i do not know anybody in Swansea)
Since then i have received an email every other day from Lowell , BPO collections and Lucas credit services all chasing the same Lowell debt i have made several phone calls to the companies informing them they have the wrong email address and have been assured my email will be removed but its not happening everyday or two i get another one from them they just don't seem to care.
Its terrible that they don't seem to be bothered by the fact that i now know from the emails they have sent me the persons name, address, credit card number and what company she owes the debt to and how much she owes. Its really not good information like that getting in to the wrong hands!
Anyone any ideas how i can make them stop?

Simple: Block their email addresses. You have nothing to concern yourself over as the debt is not yours.Original Total: £34200.78 / Current Total: £24017.00 (July 2017) -29.88%!
DMP started March 2014. DFD: November 20250 -
I am blocking their addresses but they just send from another one i am only concerned that they have been told about this error several times and don't seem to want to do anything to fix it all's i want is my email removed from their system.0

As said, not really your problem.
If you are really concerned I would forward any email also CC'd to casework@ico.org.uk, ComplaintsResolution@LowellGroup.co.uk, james.cornell@lowellgroup.co.uk with a complaint that they are breaching the DPA.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

As well as blocking an individual's email address, do you have the option of blocking/marking as spam all from that company ie anything@scumbagDCA.co.uk?
Nothing's easier to delete and ignore than an email. They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -
Hi
I suggest that you contact the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) about this issue as pursuing the wrong person for a debt is a form of harassment, not to mention the issue of providing you with someone else’s confidential information.
There is some information on FOS complaints here:

Try using a wildcard to block all emails from a particular domain. E.g.
*@lowellgroup.co.uk0
