Thursday 25th Feb - What small DFW things will you do today?

Options
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

    Morning all :hello:
I'm running late and feeling tired (story of my life at the moment) - another restless night last night - DH has been down the past couple of days which is bugging me.
However, it is Thursday so I finally have a free today :j
    Here's today's list:
    :) Check banking and PAD
:) Make good use of my free time at work
:) Mark a set of books
    :) Try and remain calm
:) Minimise use of heating (but still v cold here)
:) Try and get dh to do something
    :) Plan next week
:) Start the big online shop
:) Make some time for myself at some point
I can't think of much else. Have a good day everyone

    Hi ladies,

Thanks for starting us off - both of you :D

Maria - I usually just edit the text to say 'Duplicate thread please delete'. I think it's only board guides who can delete a new thread.

Funeral home at 1pm - Done
    Buy 4 photo frames (1 x order 3 x for family) - Done, bought 3
Sort "scrabble letters" (and see what I need) -
    Continue purge on Emails -
    Complete a few surveys -
    Enter a few comps -
    All meals from cupboards/fridge/freezer -
Check https://www.freepostcodelottery.com - Remember there are now 5 chances to win -
    Check Lucky Phone -

Have a good day! Love to you all!

    Hi February Folk,

Today is my day off. Hurrah! Thanks for the start CCL.

Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Month Nine:

    *
Checked and updated our thread's list of Money Making and Money Saving websites. Jack Munro's recipe site has been renamed again. Make The Change if you still need ideas for surviving on £40 I would suggest going through the list to see if there are any sites that can help you.

    * Tesco Orchard are going to send me a £5 voucher for cut flowers to product test. If you like freebies I recommend this scheme. You get freebies to test but you also get Tesco Clubcard points if you do extra reviews of the product. The link is on the above list of websites.

    * Music Magpie have paid me £16. Transfered £6.50 back to the Australia Fund. Should be able to finish paying off all the money we borrowed from ourselves tomorrow when it's PayDay.

    * Checked OH's balances.

    * Think up something to do today with OH. Needs to be free.
That's about it. How about you folk?

Morning all :hello: thanks for starting us cat. Yeah only 2 more days to the weekend.

I signed up to Orchard on Ally's recommendation and my cut flowers are currently looking beautiful :D

Today will mainly look like this:
Drive to meet someone from work, will have lunch, work will pay. It will mean I don't have an awful lot of time to do any actual work today, but will maximise the time I have
    Check banks, surveys and FPL
    Meals from stores/planner
    Post DD passport application
Look at next months budget ready for payday next week
    DH working o/t tonight :D

    Have a good day everyone.
