Day off today and thought I'd put a few things down here before we are powerless for the day! EDF playing with our supply:mad:

I got offered the job yesterday and I turned it down! I have never been in this situation before and although I knew this was the right decision for me, it was very scary actually doing it.
I am going to this week write down/draw/ brainstorm myself to clarify what I really want to do.

    TO DO:
    1) Complete housework of house.
    2)Ironing
    3)Sew BIL's net curtains.
    4) Sort out sewing machine.

    Serious Things:
    1)Update spending diary
    2)Clarify job wishes
    3) Start Christmas countdown plan
    4) Lists of plans (house, job, health and wealth)

Can't think of anything else yet am a bit fuzzy today.

Not having a very productive day today - think I'm still in shock ab

    out turning down the job.

Keep trying to get myself motivated to do 15 minutes but Procrastinating is winning.

Blue Jeans: Happy cupboard sorting. I love de- cluttering and tidying. That would be my perfect job. I had to move things in my kitchen this morning to get camping cooker out(we have loads of power cuts so it's always handy). Power was off, so thought would have a cuppa, then thought I'd like to move eveerything around But was only a thought. Have a good sleep.

15 min burst are the order of the day!
I'm hoping today to start to claw back some of the order I was achieving. Can't cope when I have a muddle and am not organized.

1st 15 mins to tackle kitchen
    2nd Living room
3rd Conservatory (this could end up as a biggy)
    4th Ironing
    5th Hall

By then it may be lunch time and I should have made some progress. Hopefully:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

What a lot can be achieved in 15 minute bursts.:j

Got everything done on this mornings list including cleaning 1 end of kitchen windows and washing nets ( out drying).

The conservatory was a big job as had to get vynil up so we could examine damage to floor ( thanks to last years rat problem). Good news on that front as it is only the panel that has collapsed and not the supports. Just got to dry the patch out that had got wet and then BIL and OH can repair it.

Lunchtime now for an hour and then:

1 hours work at old ladies house.
    4 x 15 minutes: 1) Bedroom
    2)Bathroom
    3) Finish ironing
    4) Prepare dinner/ make soup.

The treadmill continues. I just think I have everything under control and another spanner gets thrown in.:mad::mad: The latest problems are:

    1) I have found out that I have had no NI contributions paid for the last 4 1/2 years and am therefore not entitled to any contribution based benefits and also long term it will effect my state pension.
This is because my employer is trying to say I am self employed and it's my responsibility. I am clearly not self employed!

Have you got a contract? If so what does it say. They will be fined if they haven't been paying NI as it is classed as defrauding the government I believe.

Also though I am not saying you should. If you want these years to count towards your state pension, then you can pay what is owing yourself. You have 7 years I think to pay, but you can check with the DWP.
