Savings on esa

My dad recently passed away and left a small amount of money. My question is how much savings can I have in my bank before it affects my husbands claim for esa?

Sorry for your loss. If he's claiming Income related ESA then £6,000 and he will lose £1 for every £250 over. £16,000 and he loses all the ESA. If it's Contribution Based ESA then it won't affect it. If claiming housing benefit he would need to contact them as well.
