    Good morning all!
Does anyone actually like that Serano ham?
I really liked the look of it, so was delighted when they had tasters on offer last year, I was so disappointed, it tasted like salt, and had the texture of old boots!
My unsophisticated pallete maybe, but just thought i would share. x

I bought 11 strawberry and 1 chocolate ball corner for £3 as little choice in my store. You get over £2 back depending on fillers v S.

The biscuits are picking up the sale price in W but predicted to end soon.

    Morning peeps.

The tree is fine and DH is really upset over what he has done. Off to garage this morning to see what they say - main concern at the moment is if the car is OK to drive. We are flying from Heathrow in a couple of weeks and if the car is off the road we are completely stuffed. This is not a good start to 2018.

    Bless

    Evening peeps. :)

I bought one of the serrano hams tonight at A's that were reduced to £10. God knows why!! I don't even know what to do with it!!!

Any suggestions, apart from wrapping chicken breasts?

There are hundreds of recipes with serrano ham, it is very versatile

    served cold as a snack/tapas
Wrap round breadsticks and dip in your favourite dips
wrap round any fruit or cheese in bite size pieces, goes well with figs, melon, grapes, pears, mozzarella, cheddar, brie

Put in any salad you want hot or cold

    served hot
Ham and poached egg on toast
Make a toastie with ham and tomato or cheese
Put in any stews and casseroles
Goes well with any white fish, scallops, beef and chicken/turkey

Dry fry and crumble up and sprinkle it over pasta or mash potatoes or salad

One of my favourites is wrapping a banana, dry fry and then drizzle with a bit of honey/maple syrup nom nom

For a cheap and easy, one pot meal
    A play on Egg Flamenco
A tin of tomatoes, chopped up serrano ham, an onion and garlic if you want and what ever herbs you normally use mix all together
put in an oven proof dish, put in oven and heat for 15 min at 200
take out oven make two holes in the mixture and crack an egg into each hole put back in oven and cook until the eggs are just set , dig in with what ever bread you have
If you want to bulk it out add a tin beans and sausage or tin lentils or tin chick peas or tin kidney beans or any left over meats

If your in a rush you can do this in the microwave, just remember to break the membrane on the egg yoke so that it does not blow up and make a mess in your microwave
