Hi, sounds like you've been doing a fantastic job with your debt busting! You mentioned being in the payday loan cycle (I was too!). Have you ever considered claiming for some of the charges back? My case is ongoing but I'm looking at a minimum £600 back for irresponsible lending.
Worth a try as it might just pay off that last bit of your debt!LBM: October 2016: £20,130 / Current: May 2019: £12,576 37.53%DFD: [STRIKE]February 2024[/STRIKE] April 2022?0 -

Thanks Fatrab, yes I had some awful days on my other diary-gutted it's gone! But onwards and upwards. Thank you for your continued support-much appreciated.
Hi DancingUnicorn, it was an awful, awful time mentally and physically for me. I have read a few stories where people have claimed money back etc. I was in an awful cycle, which I could ill afford-most of the time more than my actual wage or not far off! But I've dealt with all that side of things now, and just having paid it all back is enough of a relief to me. I don't want to battle through trying to claim money back, as it was my choice to borrow the money and spend it irresponsibly-I'd rather forget that time of my life than drag it all back up again etc.
However, I truly wish you luck with your claim-really hope you get the result you want. :-)
Enthusiastic saver, thank you! And thank you for keep checking in-really appreciated.
Sunday, a NSD. Not done much today, just house jobs and getting ready for the week ahead really. Nothing much to report. Hoping to bag some more overtime this week-I'll be first to speak to the boss in the morning :-)
Positive thought of the day-I've not gained anymore debt today, haven't paid any off today, but not gained any! I will keep telling myself this daily, as seems to encourage me a little. Things are far from perfect, but my they could be a heck of a lot worse!
Early night planned with a good book, ready for the week ahead. Happy Sunday peeps0 -
Not much to report today. Work done, feet up and relaxing. Early night in the cards. Abit of over time towards the end of the week-not as much as I wanted, but better than nothing .0

Good luck with clearing your debt!
How do you find the time to work full-time and have a second job? My one job wipes me out as it is! That day with your mum sounds lovely0 -

Every little helps as they say (whoever "they" are)!
I'm waiting to find out if the company I work for has landed a large project and if so I should be in for a good bit of overtime during the summer. Not had a single bit of overtime for over a year now but you learn to live without it. I was regularly getting loads of overtime and I think that's partly where my overspending habit came from. Wish I had it now to help clear the debts! You can have results or excuses, but not both.Challenge - be 14 Stone BY XMAS!

Monday morning-annoyed with myself as not be as careful as usually with my money this week, been unwell and couldn't be bothered to shop around and wasted money really. Will 100% make more effort this week, can't do anything about it now, but ensure it won't happen again.
I've got a few days off towards the end of the week (holidays I need to use up) so nothing much planned, well nothing which costs money. Going to have another clear out and see if there is anything I can sell-decluttering is always good for the mind.0
