    And today a letter telling me there was a problem with the payment, I f**king know that, that's why I've been calling for days trying to change the b***dy payment date. Argh. :mad:

    OMG have got my DRO barcode letter :eek:

    Mum is putting the £90 in my bank so I can pay it and scan/copy the letter & form at work tomorrow before sending it off.......

    I heard about DROs before they were introduced and I've been waiting for my finances to settle to the point of being eligible all that time, whilst firstly self managing and now in a DMP, my debts........

    This is a long time coming.

    Have finally be able to get Orange/EE to move my DD date to 1st/2nd of the month :T

    Won't be effective until 1st Nov but I can live with that.

    Hoping to have my DRO approved in time for me to cancel 1st Oct Standing order for DMP......

    DRO approved!!! Not on the Insolvency Register yet, but OMG!

    I can cancel tomorrow's standing order for the DMP, as Payplan have handled both for me they are going to ensure that even if the payment goes out, they will hold it from my creditors and re-imburse me.

    They have been great, been trying to get to this point since I first heard about DROs before they even existed in 2009.

    What finally got me to pull everything together and get my DRO put through (after moving job and house and cutting down what bills I could) was finding out at the start of August this year that I was pregnant. Sadly I miscarried at six weeks.

    But, it did two massive things for me, kicked me up the !!!! to get this DRO sorted and also, to tell the father of the baby, after he repeatedly hounded me to not continue with the pregnancy, to never come near me ever again.

    This was difficult as we've been friends and on-off partners for ten years (ironically the baby's due date would have been the tenth anniversary of us first sleeping together !!!!!!) and over that time I've made it clear I would give him everything if he wanted it but he'd never actually put me first. When he blatantly rejected his own child just because it was mine it finally broke me, it's been one thing to put up with his less than ideal behavior myself but that was proof of just how far he would go.

    He does not deserve me and I deserve a hell of a lot better.

    I do not find it surprising that this is all taking place at the same time. I feel grief, relief, sadness, some positives as the debts are now being resolved etc but mostly right now, I just feel drained.

    I try and see it as a period of healing.

    And then I shall await my real prince charming....
