I had a United flight - Manchester to Chicago via Washington. The first fight was delated to such an extent that the connecting United flight was missed resulting in an arrival over 4 hours after the scheduled time.
A.United refused the claim, but offered some complimentary vouchers which are limited use to me.
B. CAA tried and failed.
A + B took over 6 months to complete with no result.
C. So as a last resort i went to a Compensation company and they won the claim within 10 days! sadly they took a good third of the payout, but heck better than nothing.
So I am thinking the United try to stonewall individual claims hoping they go away. The message from this is keep on pushing them .
