Sponge on one side, scratchy nylon on the other. A bit like these.
They work for me.
Would the limescale not just rip them to shreds?
I use those for lots of things, sometimes the loo but my loo isn't covered in limescale,it was new when I moved into the house and I clean it enough, I had to, I've got to share it with kids :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession :o0 -

I did say 'a supply':) and you need the heavy duty ones.
It might be worth laying kitchen roll soaked in vinegar over the limescale and allowing it to react.0 -

Now that's a good tip :T:T
I've got limescale in my bath under the tap that used to leak, might give that a go tonight. Nice oneMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession :o0 -
To get rid of limescale, you can use;
- an abrasive method, such as pumic stone, or a scourer
- a chemical method, which needs acid. Vinegar is a weak acid (as is phosphoric acid, one iof the ingreients of cola), so will work with patience. Alternatives arestong acids such as hydrochloric or sulphuric acid, USED WITH CAUTION, such as gloves and goggles
