NEXT YEAR! but as I told him the contract seems to be solid but I contacted them and told them I'm recycling more and that I would only be requiring half of the collections as usual. Then you could get the other companies to collect and just remember until your contract ends that any certificates are free on the environmental website.
I'm from Brighton but I found Teamwaste to be much better value and don't seem interested in ripping you off. Alan something I'll get you the number if you want?
Spurred into action today by a letter asking us what we currently recycle, threatening a price rise if we don't return the letter by 17 August (it's AUGUST! people go on holiday in August!), threatening a price rise if we don't recycle all we can (fortunately we do! with another company!), and asking if we'd be interesting in them offering a recycling collection for us.
And there will be an admin charge of £15 for this letter on our August invoice! Plus VAT, of course ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I know, I've e-mailed Martin to ask if he could alert all small business but perhaps he is busy with the Bank charges issue. I don't think they can charge you this admin of £15 or why couldn't we? When I get into work I'll get the number for you.

Does anyone else know about this? There isn't anything I can see on the Terms about charging admin - why do they pay me a fee?
Martin!!! See this Post!Help me to help you :santa2:0 -
Hi
This one isn't really me. I very deliberately am about wha tyou should rather than what you shouldn't do. If I warned about every dodgy or costly company I wouldn't have time for anythng else.
Sorry

Well at least he is honest. I appreciate Martin is very busy but this I feel is different! I would want to know if HSBC doubled its prices and added extra charges whilst holding me in a contract.
Perhaps we could have a add-on to the MSE newsletter? Somewhere the consumers could add or a warnings section.
This could save any people running small business £150 / per month!! More than most of the newsletter tips!Help me to help you :santa2:0 -
I'm having bad problems with Wastetech too for a long time now. Been told I can't get out of the contract till next march since after taking over Rapidwaste they also took over they're contracts (despite me not signing one with wastetech).
Complained for a few months regarding being charged for a 660L bin when only having 360L for 6 months. After many phone calls later they said there wasnt much difference in price anyway (even though its half the size bigger, gave me load of excuses about man labour …..) and offered £90 and £1 off the fixed price waste charge.
This month I was charged £270 which was obviously wrong! Rang up and they said it was due to 25% price increases on landfill charges. Also for some reason they seem to think I have 2 bins a 360L and 660L, so I've been charged for over 9 standing charges at different rates.
Seriously is this company is totally ridiculous:- 2 price increases in 1 year due to land fill - therefore raising the price for the fixed waste charge, standard lifts, waste container rental and the landfill charge itself.
- £15 admin charge for a copy of your own contract (was advised ‘If you don’t want to pay then you shouldn’t have lost it’ !)
- £15 (excl. VAT) admin charge for filling out an EU landfill directive form
- Bad customer service, I have rang up a fair amount of times and the majority of these times I’ve encountered very rude staff who basically cant wait to get off the phone with you. I’m assuming this is due to the constant complaining from unhappy customers.
Also I received a letter saying that they were going to be collecting payment by direct debit soon. Do I have to sign the direct debit form? Because if I’m having this much trouble now, guaranteed they’ll be taking endless amounts of money from my account if it was direct debited.0 -
If your contract only runs until March, I wouldn't sign the DD form, just keep sending cheques promptly! BTW, remember your contract almost certainly requires you to send 3 months notice by recorded delivery, so you need to be doing that very soon!
Discovered mine ran until June, they send out all the revised contracts in January so I'd - stupidly according to them! - assumed that's when it ran from! Agree with you that they are rude and unhelpful to the point of obstruction ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Sorry to bring this company up again, but they're driving me mad!
Has anyone been charged a 'Termination cancellation fee' of £15?????!!
I have and have informed them over the 3 months before my contract is due to end.0
