  • i too was declined today - checked my experian (who they said they used for me in my declined response) and everything is up to date. No missed payments, no arrears and well within my limits on accounts.

cant understand it to be honest... there answer is to check my credit file for the answer, and it is fruitless as there is nothing wrong with it!

It is strange as I already have a sony vaio which cost £1500 last year this finance was only a present for someone, but I felt if I took it out on finance it would help me in the future.

    Clearly Not!

Have you SAR'd CIFAS? There could be a CIFAS entry that you do not know about?

Have a mooch here to see what I mean! Credit Reference Agencies

I checked all three credit reference agencies and it doesn't not show any cifas info on my personal file, does this mean there isn't? or is this only shown for banks?

    Also Standard Access Request?

I realise due to my change in income it may send alarm bells, but nobody asked for verification or indeed a password which is on my credit file to prove it is me applying as I live in a rented house.

Could there be anything else as my everything is good according to checkmyfile apart from 1 credit search namely v12.

    Hiya
    12. SAR Request
Subject Access Request - remember to enclose £10 with your request.

You're getting slightly confused mate. CIFAS registers a marker from a lender if they suspect fraud, usually this is fraudulent personal details but not so much salary, which is picked up by N Hunter.

I won't confuse you with the details but suffice to say, if a lender has put a fraud marker against you using CIFAS it is up to them if they allow it to show under the CIFAS section of your credit report. Some show there, others do not.

Therefore you must SAR CIFAS to get details, it may be a waste of £10 - but for the same respect it may answer your question.

Have a read here about SARing CIFAS: http://www.cifas.org.uk/default.asp?edit_id=692-59

Regards to your income fluctuation to over 150% within 3 months, sorry but no lender will really buy this so you may be better stopping applying for a while cos to go from £1500 per month to £3000+ per month in 3 months is hard to believe, but dooable - I dont doubt you mate, but I do see how a lender may look at that.

It may mean appealing a recent decline and sending in bank statements as the lender will then update their software with the new salary details which will drag through to the N Hunter software and help your next application (assuming that lender subscribed to N Hunter and searches Experian)... :D

    Make sense now mate? ;)

I am not totally sure, but they emailed me the above saying callcredit and will check in the morning with the others. I was thinking only moument credit card solely searched call credit.

Which is why I applied to test the water as until now had no credit search on call credit.

I will pay for national hunter and cifas as I have applied few times on equifax and experian.

I understand what you are saying but If they asked me to verify my income I would, but not one lender has.

Soon I will be paying 50p in the £1 and national insurance depressing.
