The worst thing about Art as a subject is how time consuming it is. The best thing is it's out of the way pre exams reducing the number of papers to sit in a 3 or 4 week period. Both you and dd will see the benefits from here!

Well done to DD1 on getting her art evaluation out of the way. Both DS's are doing exams this year so I know how stressful it can be for them.

I hope Mr PG is home soon so you can enjoy some much deserved time together.

i am alive and kicking, but havent caught up with any diaries in a week or so, so huge apologies to everyone. Hope you are all well and I will catch up when I can.

Things are a tad crazy in the PG Household so this is a quick post.

DD1s first GCSE exam next Monday .

Countdown to Mr PGs departure has begun

Another £140 paid to THEM this morning ! :D

DD1s bedroom ripped apart in a frantic effort to get it decorate between now and Mr PG leaving. Bathroom painted and tiles half laid on the floor. Wallpaper stripped off of one wall, I will try and do the other wall tonight, then we need to re paper and tackle the painting. We are very very short of tiem to get this finished but will do our best ! Lucky for her, but not for us she has a big bedroom so its not a quick job. :(

The Wallpaper arrived ,but in my fuzziness I ordered the wrong one, got to send it back today :(

DD1 had a taster Arts evening at college earlier this week, she loved it. Think she may already be here Photography Teachers Pet !! :rotfl:

In amongst all of this and more, Mr PG and I
opened our big mouths and suggested to DD1 that we host a Leavers Party for her Friday Night !! What were we thinking ?! :rotfl::rotfl::eek:

    Hi Mrs PG...

Yes what were you thinking...!!! Brave lady hosting a leavers party...!!! My DD has made the decision that she doesn't want to attend the prom so lucky for me no need to rush around hunting down frocks, shoes, make up, hair, etc etc.... We are going to London to see Les Mis instead.. but not on the same day...!!

Hope your all ready for the onslaught of the gcse's.. our's start monday as well but DD's first one's are on wednesday when typically I am away, but as she has already done 3, she's knows what she's doing and is incredible laid back about the whole process..!!! I dont know where she gets her brain from it isn't from me and certainly isn't from her dad.... She's got an A* in English and came top of her year.... and also top of class for citizenship and media coursework.. let's hope the laid back approach to the rest of the work doesn't come back to bite her on the b**....

Hope your dd sails through the next few weeks and then all the families with 15/16 year olds will be able to relax until it all starts again in September...!

Well done on your payments to THEM.... keep going we will all get to where we want to be in the end...

Take care of you and your lovely family, and good luck over the next month..

Lordy, the things that come out of people's mouths before the brain engages! The amount of times I've heard myself saying "would you like me to . . ." and the brain catches up and inwardly I'm thinking "arghhh"!!!

Anyway, I'm sure you'll put on a fab party and it'll be lots of fun.

Thanks everyone will reply to you properly at a later state.

House still turned upside down . DD1 had to sleep with DD2 last night as she couldn't get into her bed for the ongoing decorating !

Party plans in progress for later. Cant wait for the onslaught of 40 odd 16 year olds !! xxx
