First Dance song choice

Didn't want to hijack Scrimpers post "to first dance on to not first dance."

However, what was your first dance song if you did dance?

To start you off. Mine was "Heaven knows I'm miserable now" by the Smiths. A last minute change by my new husband, thought it would be funny!! Ha ha. The room erupted in laughter!

Very swiftly replaced by "At Last" by Etta James.
Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.

    Ours was the New Found Glory (pop punk band) cover of Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls.

    It was a song that was on a CD OH did for me our first valentines day and it was the song that was playing on the radio when he texted me to say he would be arriving at my mums soon on the day he propose

    It filled the criteria of being romantic, yet short and not used at any other weddings we'd been to :D

    We have never dance with each other in the 22 years of being together. My DH dances round like Mr Bean with 2 left feet. I say no more.

    We're getting married in October and still debating if we should have a first dance or not. I don't like being in the spotlight but everyone keeps telling me we have to have a dance! If we did I would love for it to be something a bit different. I love the New Found Glory suggestion, their version of Kiss Me would be great too.

    :rotfl::rotfl:off topic, I once attended a church wedding where one of the hymns was 'fight the good fight', people were trying not to laugh while they tried to sing.
