I think if it is the area you are in more than the house then being back in an area you like will make a difference. Just don't rush anything. Maybe a good look at whats available might give you a bit of a lift and the planning it all will give you a focus.
5 months is a very short time you are still very much in the grieving stage. Have you got a lot to sort out at Nans house?
It is hard but a very therapeutic thing clearing the house. If you could arrange a child free day to visit with your oh then maybe you can start the long process. We concentrated on the more non personal stuff and put by 6 big boxes of very personal family stuff which we are only just starting on containing photos, letters ect.
