Options
Hi all just a quick question my partner claims IS as the main claimant and I am down as her partner on the claim.

Am I entitled to free dental care and prescriptions?

This tells you who is and isn't entitled to help with health costs

    INCOME SUPPORT (IS)
You and your partner get free:
    • NHS prescriptions
    • NHS dental treatment
    • NHS sight tests
    • NHS wigs and fabric supports.
    You also get:
    • a voucher towards the cost of glasses
    or contact lenses
    • refunds of necessary travel costs to
receive NHS treatment under the care
of a consultant for you, your partner
    and any dependent children and
    young people under 19.

So this means since i'm the partner i'm entitled to the above?

Just making sure don't want any unexpected fines.

This link which is the advice that pharmacy assistant are given
    http://psnc.org.uk/dispensing-supply/receiving-a-prescription/patient-charges/exemptions/

Your partner should have had an automatic exemption certificate sent to her, if she hasn't then a letter of entitlement should be sufficient if she does not have either then she needs to contact the JCP

Sorry I don't know what other information you require my second link said
The Patient or his/her Partner is receiving Income Support (IS)

And the information you posted also says

    INCOME SUPPORT (IS)
You and your partner get free...........

    Surely that's clear

And if it isn't look at this link

    http://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/HealthCosts/Documents/DentalServices/PECS_booklet_web.pdf

The NHS will cover the cost of your prescriptions if, at the time the prescription is dispensed, you are included in an award of:

    • Income Support

I cant really help you any more

You will be named on the HC3 certificate but that's as long as she entered you on the original form.
