Hello potters, another year here already. I'm hoping this year will be more like 2015 - this year was abysmal. I see I've got the same number - ace, will update sig. Thanks Sue for running this again x
I'll be saving £1 coins, £2 coins in one pot and a separate tin for odd sods . I didn't open my odd sods tin this year because that was abysmal too, so I'll just carry on with it, if that's ok.

Sue, can I add a target of £300 this year please? Hopefully it will motivate me!

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

A very good morning to you, all Potters! and thank you for your lovely replies, they don't go unnoticed I promise you. A huge thank you to you all!

Please note this message SPCers. Just to let you all know: Due to the health of myself with epilepsy and my DD who has MS this will be my last year of SPC so I've no idea what will be happening afterwards. If anyone has the time and dedication to take it over they are perfectly welcome as it would be sad to see it go as we've helped so many people.

All those having asking for Targets to be put on: I'm having HUGE problems with adding anything else to the 1st membership list as a sign comes up saying I have to delete at least 200 characters!!! I've already got rid of no end of dots that lead to folk's targets but that's not sufficient!!! Talk about maddening!!! So, there's pretty much nothing I can do to that post or your Targets, I'm sorry. Those I have been able to add will have '17 by the side so as not to get confused with ones still there from SPC 9 belonging to members who still haven't declared.

Many thanks to you too, Purplemumof2, I've noticed your name popping up when you've helped with bumping the reminder threads, a huge thank you for that, to you also Lynne, Ruth and MrsC....tobe! :T Gold stars for all. :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

MrsC....tobe, thanks so much for letting me know about the double up of 451, but I doubt it'll be long before only 1 returns, if not I'll sort it another way, but thank you so much. Your Target for £800 is there!

Very well done, indigowarrior, you're away again!! :D

Another shiny start off for you again, 12 month challenge! :staradminThank you for your kind words.

Good to see you on the thread, swimminginaseaofdebt, with a good start made with your savings! :j

All sorted, Vicky! Don't forget to keep following DH to grab whatever he puts down! ;)

    Your Target is down, Sammy64!

Your ERNIE idea with the bonds sounds an excellent way of sorting out otherwise lost interest, kiplingmonkey!

You're most welcome, mummytummy. Though this will be my last year, due mainly to illness, mine and my DD's MS.

Well done, mrs-moneypenny, to be honest I'm struggling to alter Targets anyway as when I submit them a message says there are nearly 200 characters too many, crazy!!

    Lovely to see you, benten!

Hello Pinkwhisk! You're probably wise to stick to the 1 challenge and focus on getting as much as possible, and you've made a great start!!

You've made a start then, Emily, there's no stopping you now is there!!

It's always good to see you, curly, you always make me smile too! So, is you hair really curly or like most named curly....as straight as it could be?!!!

Hi sexyshark! why not come and see us more often!

I'll pop in from time to time but days are going to be busy as DD2 has gone back to work from her maternity leave and we're looking after DGS.
Sleepless nights will be a thing of the past now,we'll be shattered, he's just started standing and his commando crawl is getting him everywhere. Time to baby proof the lounge I think!

Well done with the £20, lucyhope! Although I can understand about the caring for your DD's little darling, treasure it as it goes so fast, as you well know! :A

Thanks for pointing it out, Ruth, not it isn't as it was supposed to read SPC 11, I will obviously alter it, however, due to the health of myself and my DD with MS this is my last year of SPC so I've no idea what will be happening afterwards. If anyone has the time and dedication to take it over they are perfectly welcome.

Hi there Cinders: and lovely to see you.

Sue, could I up my target to £1000 purleaseee :D

Morning jakes-mum, re Targets - I'm having problems with adding anything else to the 1st membership list as a sign comes up saying I have to delete at least 200!!!!! I've already got shot of no end of dots that lead to folk's targets but that's not sufficient!!! Talk about maddening!!!!!! So, there's pretty much nothing I can do to that post or your Target I'm sorry. BTW, see my message at the. top.

Yes, parksandrec, you still have the same No as they go through automatically. Good to see you back.

Ah good to see you here also, owlet, let's hope it's a better year for you.

Another exciting time with SPC 10 being underway, folks!! :j

Do your best to save hard!

Sue i am very sad to see that this will be your last year! It is completely understandable however it will still be sad. I hope you will still be around taking part in the challenge.

I'm sure someone will want to take up the challenge, I will happily do so if no one better comes forward. That is a discussion for the latter half of next year though i believe.

Your family must always be your main concern and i do hope you all have better luck with health this year.

You are a fantastic lady and this thread (and you) cause so much happiness to a lot of people.

    And we're off.....

£6.84 to start my 16/17 SPC. Many thanks for the new thread, I'm looking forward to the next 12 months. :)

Sorry to hear that this is our last year as our leader Sue_UU, your encouragement and witty comments are such a delight, I shall surely miss them. ;) Your health and well being must come first though and I'm sure we'll find a suitable candidate willing to take on the task. :j

  • Sue-UU so sorry to hear you'll be "retiring" as our illustrious leader and matriarch at the end of SPC 10, you have truely been an inspiration and support to us all over the years but you have to do what's best for you and take care of yourself and your family. I'm sure someone or two will take the helm and keep your legacy going... I do hope so..

Let's all try hard and make this the best year for Sue-UU and exceed all previous years totals :T
