So BR applications are online, how quickly do they reply/grant the application? how long does it take?

Should the applicant wait till the BR is granted b4 opening a basic account or try as soon as the click "apply" for the BR? they have some bill payments (utilities) to maintain to avoid complete chaos....

    this comes up a lot on this forum and views differ, I did mine after it was granted to be absolutely sure it wouldn't be frozen-but it seems that certain basic accounts wouldn't be frozen anyway

    Key point is the applicant's current bank account will not be frozen straightaway, in fact it normally takes a while, things can be pretty glacial post BR, mine took over 2 months to be frozen-so no panic

    any idea how long the IS take to grant BR?

    well i was declared BR but from what i’ve seen on this forrum over the last year or so i think its pretty immeditate, i.e a day or so
