I've just finished 'A Man Called Ove'. By Fredrik Backman.

Superb. A gentle black comedy about a guy who wants to kill himself, but life keeps getting in the way.

I'm reading that at the moment and really enjoying it, some parts have had me chuckling.

Must give it a try (again). I did borrow it in a batch of others from the library early this year but real-life got in the way of my reading them all before the return date. I wasn't allowed to renew that one as there was a waiting list for it:( so I had to take it back after reading only the first page.

Have put it on my list to borrow whenever they have it in. Thanks for the reminder:T

I know it's only April, but A Man Called Ove is my best book of the year, so far.

Thanks for merging, zip. Unfortunately the MSE search function is of no use when the gremlins enter...

I was getting stuck into an eye-opening read yesterday, about 1/3 of the way through when I put it down and to my annoyance left it behind!:

So guess how pleased I was to pick this up from the chazzer earlier, a book with similar themes:

"No man is worth, crawling on the earth"- adapted from Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio

Hope is not a strategy :D...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!

Finished The Remaining: Allegiance by D J Molles. Now waiting for the next one to arrive.

While I wait I'm going to read Piranha by Clive Cussler and Boyd Morrison.
