Nearly 6 Years

Hi All

It will be 6 years in May this year (2015) since I declared myself bankrupt. And I must say its been a long 6 years, but one that has shown me the true value of money.

What I want to know from anyone how has passed the 6 year mark is how long was it until your credit rating was clear from the mistakes of the past, I.E bankruptcy note on file?

The main reason I ask is my mobile contract with my current supplier is due to end in June this year and I would like to change to another, but iam aware that I couldn't do this before because of my credit file.

I have paid all my bills on time, along with my car insurance which I pay monthly. I also have a savings account with Natwest.

So have anyone out there been in my position and if so how did it pan out?

Thanks

Your BR will come off your files on the same day or within a couple of weeks. You need to check your files to make sure all your defaults drop off at the same time. Follow the Credit File Clean Up Sticky, that will explain how to do it.
