.....have been informed that as of the 29th of June, my overdraft facility was removed.......have so many charges, that I wrongly assumed were given to me as I had gone over my overdraft. These charges were because I had no overdraft.

Do you ever check your account or the statements?

That overdraft was removed almost two months ago and you haven't noticed until today?!?

I have checked my last statement dated the 15th of July and it advises me that I still have an overdraft of £200 yet the bank pulled it at the end of June.
    This makes no sense!!!

I agree with all of the posters who say the overdraft expired.

Just an update, received a phone call from the Bank today. They have apologised, said it was an error and should never have happened.

No offer of any compensation for stress caused/telephone charges to the bank (it's an 0845 number and must have cost me a fortune as I was on the phone for at least an hour!!), just a little 'Oops, we are so sorry.

NOT happy but at least I know it's not my fault!

Tell them to reimburse the call costs - they will - ask for £20 - they will agree if it is a bank error.

They probably wouldnt offer you any compo as you havent suffered any financial loss.

However in future ask the bank to call you back if you know its going to be a long call.

Good news it's sorted - did they give you no idea as to what went wrong?

None whatsoever, they just couldn't work out why it had happened.

I assume this to mean that someone 'messed up' or it was a computer glitch.

All back on track today, have checked my account and the overdraft is back!! :j

    Nice one. :)

Now, if only I could get Santander to do the same... :(
(although at least they've given me notice...)
