When we go we normally park down where the windmills are. These are on the promenade just down from pleasure beach. If you come off the main road then parking is free on a side road. Hope this helps

In a word, "YES", but first, when that poster says "down where the windmills are", I wonder if he means "the" windmill on the promenade, if he does, then it's gone. THAT windmill used to serve as a marker for anyone that wanted to go to the "Christmas Store", an old woolworths that specialises in christmas lights/decorations as the shop was just off the promenade. It has been moved because of the extensive promenade alterations (62 million £'s).

As for parking, although we don't drive, a couple of weeks ago we stayed the other side of the Pleasure Beach and couldn't help noticing all the free roadside parking all free. The thing is, most people enter the Pleasure Beach at the main entrance and walk right through, but what's wrong with entering at the other end. There is an entrance there because they have their own Hotel at that end "The Blue something or other" ?. So, why not drive past the P/Beach, park and go in that way.

I went on Sunday, and I was lucky to get a free space on the side road next to the main entrance of the pleasure beach. Great day out, will go again next year.
  • We always park by the 'back' entrance to the pleasure beach by 'The Big Blue', which is the hotel. As stated, it's free on the side roads.

I am probably wrong but maybe they meant the two wind "turbines" that are outside the cafe place across from the "disco ball".

This would match up with where you got parked as they are down past the pleasue beach heading towards the Starr Gate.

As you said - lots of free parking down that end. The advantage of going in from this end is the queue usually isn't as big as at the main entrance

    Hi there,
I'm going there in July near Blackpool South Station so near any free parking even if its at the other end of the Pleasure Beach would'nt be a problem , but was wondering as its olds posts if its still the case ?
  • It is still free in the side roads to the South of the Pleasure Beach. But watch out for parking restrictions and the white lines across access roads/driveways as they are no parking also. I am not sure if the entrance at the south end of the pleasure beach is open, as it hasn't been early on in the season so you might have a bit of a walk.

If you have a set day in mind then you can book tickets in advance online and they are normally £5 off at the pleasure beach site.

Went there but it was rainy...

Parking is free on all blue line marked on this map and some nearby streets. You can leave all the family close to The big Blue and park your car anywhere near here except the ROUND ABOUT.
Its hard to find space after 11:00
