There is a at times a nasty and tasteless thread on DT about poor Charlie, would it be at all possible for MSE to suspend all threads/post about him whilst he enters his remaining hours, and to leave his poor parents alone.
i'm sure that when the time comes some sections of the media will do exactly this after reporting his death, perhaps MSE could set an example ?

    If the parents didn't want it, it would have stopped a long time ago.

    No I never have this was the first time, and it seems other people agreed with it being closed.
    Sadly a second thread that should have been all about expressing sympathy is turning into another DT bun fight, I will leave it to others to decide if that is correct.

    TBH, although the thread is going slightly off topic, i think this is a current and relevant topic for discussion and i think it will be a shame if a thread gets closed, again. Emotions are going to run high, but it's already been brought into the public domain.

    You can't just do an U turn?

    There's a far more controversial thread running in DT at the moment.

    Whilst i am sorry for the parents loss, I feel very sorry for GOSH and all the other 'forgotten' sick children and their parents, and the fantastic work of all the staff at GOSH, (and all our NHS hospitals and services).

    Who is to decide whether we discuss this topic, or not?
