self employed to limited company

hello all
a quick question im a self employed chef who earns £30,000 ish
iv moved to a new area milton keynes and looking for more local work
the problem is agencies in the area will not employ self employed because of a new law
now is there such a law out there that stops an agency employing me
also they say if I was a limited company they would employ me but my accountant says this opens up a lot of hassle and is not worth it
now I don't really know what he means but I'm guessing hes doing right by me
so is it worth doing a limited company as I could work for these agencies or do I stick to existing work
any info would be great
