What's this about?

This week (11 - 17 May) is Mental Health Awareness Week (#mhaw15) and to mark it, we've teamed up with the Mental Health Foundation to give away 100 free online Mindfulness courses. If you don't manage to get one, it's available for £60.

What to do

If you're interested, just reply to this (click on 'post reply') and say:

"Be Mindful"

To do this you need to join the Forum (if you haven't already, when you click reply you'll be taken through the process. It's free, of course).

APPEAL: Please ONLY reply to this thread if you will check your private messages next week.

Bear in mind 300 names are being picked and there are 100 courses (because sadly not everyone gets in touch, so doing it this way helps to speed up the administration process), so you'll have to get in quick.

Also, please DON'T email in, as your name won't be counted, nor include your contact details in this thread as, for your own safety, we don't allow personal details on the public forum so your post may be deleted.

This giveaway appears in the weekly email (if you don't already get the email go to www.moneysavingexpert.com/tips) and will close at 3pm on Monday 18 May, so please get your posts in before then.

The giveaway has a strict one entry per household policy and entries can be deemed ineligible without any explanation or notification.

About Mental Health Awareness Week and Be Mindful

Every year the Mental Health Foundation helps raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing issues.

Since its first Mental Health Awareness Week back in 2000, the Mental Health Foundation has helped generate public debates around how anxiety, sleep deprivation and exercise can impact our mental health.

In 2015, it's focusing on the theme of mindfulness. Find out more about Mental Health Awareness Week by visiting the Mental Health Foundation
website and downloading its supporter kit.

More about the course from the Mental Health Foundation

The Be Mindful course was created so that anyone, anywhere, can easily and effectively learn to practise mindfulness in daily life and enjoy the benefits.

No matter where you are, or whatever your lifestyle - you have access to one of the best and most highly recognised online mindfulness training courses available anywhere. You'll be trained by Ed Halliwell and Tessa Watt - two of the UK's leading lights in mindfulness today.

With a structure that's easy to follow and at a pace that suits you, the course will guide you through core elements of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

With commitment, in as little as 4 weeks you can be practising mindfulness in daily life, bringing many potential benefits including reduced levels of stress, depression and anxiety.

Visit bemindful for more information on mindfulness and bemindful online for more information about the Mindfulness course.

Also, check out MSE's Mental Health & Debt Guide which features tips on what to do about debt when unwell, working with banks, free debt counselling and much more.

How will the people be chosen?

300 people will be picked at random (we've a special little computer programme to do it) and a private message will be sent to each of their winning usernames requesting their USERNAME, FULL NAME and ADDRESS details (there'll be an email address to send this information to, we don't want it done via private messages).

The FIRST 100 people to get back to us will get a free course.

When will I get it?

It will be sent out electronically once all 100 winners have provided their name and address. So it may take several weeks between the giveaway's end and actual receipt.

In order to take part in the prize draw, entrants must have a MoneySavingExpert.com Forum account, which is enabled for posting (those who wish to enter but who do not presently have a MoneySavingExpert.com Forum account can register for one, free of charge, at forums.moneysavingexpert.com/register.php).

    2. Details of how to enter form part of the terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the entrant agrees to abide by these rules. The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter reserves the right to modify the prize draw at any time without prior notice.

    3. The prize draw will be run on a designated MoneySavingExpert.com Forum thread (at http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=5237036 (the “Designated Thread”). In order to enter, users will need to be registered to the Forum and post on the Designated Thread using the phrase: “Be Mindful”.

    4. The prize draw will open at 5pm (UK-time) on Tuesday 12 May 2015, and will end at 3pm on Monday 18 May 2015 (“Closing”). It will also appear in the weekly email (if you don't already get the email go to https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/tips).
    5. The prize is one Be Mindful online course (the “Prize”) provided by the Mental Health Foundation priced at £60.00 as of 10.20am on 12 May 2015. There are 100 prizes to give away.

    6. All entrants will be placed into a randomiser, of which 300 will be selected and contacted by the Promoter via the MoneySavingExpert.com Forum’s Private Message facility.

    7. Potential winners will be required to respond to the designated email address that MoneySavingExpert.com provides via PM within seven days of being contacted. The first 100 recipients of the Private Message to contact the email address with their name, Forum username and postal address will be the winners and receive the Prize. If incomplete information is submitted, the Promoter reserves the right to award that prize to an alternative winner in accordance with these terms and conditions (i.e. to the 101st person to email their details to the designated email address.).

    8. A maximum of one Prize is available per household. The Promoter reserves the right to withhold a Prize or Prizes if, in its fair judgement, it appears that the same person or same household has ‘won’ more than one Prize, and/or to require reasonable proof from the winner(s) in question that they are not the same person and/or do not share a household.

    9. Late, incomplete, corrupt entries, or entries sent through agencies and third parties, will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries. The Promoter in particular cannot accept any responsibility for delayed entries due to device or internet connectivity issues.

    10. Prizes will be dispatched electronically to winners directly from the Mental Health Foundation. The Mental Health Foundation are responsible for delivering the Prize to you, not the Promoter. They will aim to deliver the Prize to you within two weeks of the Closing (as defined in our Prize terms and conditions).

    11. These prize draw terms and conditions incorporate our Full Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

    12. “Promoter”: MoneySavingExpert.com Limited, 19-22 Rathbone Place, London, W1T 1HY.
