It really is boberella, I'm not dreading unpacking (too much).
Up early and packing up the car this morning. DH just reminded me we have got to pay for the cattery and guinea piggery when we get back:eek: I'd completely forgot :(
I can't wait to get home and unpacked and then I'm going to sit and go through all my budgets to see what money I've got left for the month. I'm determined to stick to budget for the rest of the month :D I'll update ASAP!

Thanks HI, had a smooth journey home just 2 1/2 hrs ish.

DH went to collect the cats and paid the £102 for them. I'm off to collect the Guinea pigs in a minute and I'll pay for them although I'm not sure how much it will cost.

We had £87 left in our shopping budget after our week away. I've just been and spent £20 at the butchers and £24 at Mr Al, so have £43 to last until 23rd June, that is going to be almost impossible  I better get creative with what I've brought!

I've allocated all the regular spends from all accounts and I have £63.39 left in my account which has to pay for the Guinea pigs and any spends for the month. I am owed £170 from a few different people because I am a nightmare for organising things for cubs and work colleagues and then hate the chasing up for money afterwards. I am going to bite the bullet and send a few texts this afternoon :o

I have £400 left in the joint account but this is my newly created buffer to pay for holidays, car maintenance etc, I think it is slightly lower than I had budgeted but I haven't asked DH for any extra money to be put in the joint account this month as he has paid for most things in the lakes although we didn't spend lots. I will broach this subject next month.

Right off the unpack my clean clothes :A , go and collect the Guineas and peg a load out and put another load on.

£60 of money owed has been received and another £30 I will get on Thursday, I'm just waiting to hear about the other £80.

Guinea pigs cost £42, so with the extra £60 I've received today that gives me £81.39 to last the month. I'm going to try and stick to that and then the £110 that should be coming I'm going to pay off a credit card. I think some of the £81.39 will go on food shopping to be honest because I don't think I can stretch out my food shopping that far.

I am loving the money saving community on here, the past few months I have been really overspending and with a few posts on here I have managed to stay in the straight and narrow with my spending, it is so much more 'real' than checking Facebook and seeing everyone's edited lives, thank you guys. :happyhear:

Very true Emmie. It's especially hard on social media over the holidays periods. It seems like so many people have the money to go away abroad every single holiday that comes along. Bit depressing when you don't have the money and cant afford it. But who knows how they are affording it in reality?

I was up until so late last night redoing my budget. I did the one on the MSE website and messed around with the categories until I got everything sorted within budget that gave me a little left over. I'm struggling to upload an updated SOA as it's in a table form but will try later.

Today I want to get a few more loads of washing done including beds as it's still sunny and warm. I also need to sort out my work bag ready for my first day in a new department  my DD has a teacher training day tomorrow so is staying over at MILs house tonight which means we can have Sunday dinner there, one less day to use my limited groceries :rotfl:

    Here is my updated budget.

    Income: £1800
DH contribution: £1300 (This leaves him to pay some of his own bills and petrol etc and leaves some spending money)
    Child Benefit: £137.60

    Total: ££3238

    Mortgage: £838.33
    TV/internet/phone: £50
    Energy: £72
    Council Tax: £109.16
    Food: £300
    Water: £30.82
    TV Licence: £12.12
    Netflix: £5.99
    Now TV £1.39
    Bank Acc Fee: £15
    Mobiles x 3: £45
    Car maintenance: £41.67
    Car Insurance: £50
    Tax: £2.50
    Petrol: £40
    Car Loan: £331.40
    credit cards: £300
    kitchen loan: 108.95
    School meals: £24
    School Trips: £20
    Piano: £68
    school instrument: £10
Pet Costs: £37.5 (This is to pay for boarding when we are on holiday)
    Days Out: £25
    Dentist: £3.33
    Hair: £60
    Optician: £10.83
    Prescription: £10.40
    Clothes Me: £25
    Clothes Kids: £50
    Christmas: £50
    Holidays: £250
    Birthdays: £25

    Total: £3,023.39

This leaves me with an excess of £214.21 per month for extras such as meals out, nights out etc.

All my debt is either 0% or the car loan is at 2.9% so very low interest rates. I have calculated that at this rate of repayment my DFD will be Jun 2019. This is living comfortably with holidays etc. For the next few months I am going to try and keep to the budget and hopefully if there are places were I am under budget I will throw this at the credit cards to clear it a little quicker.
I have 2 savings accounts, one I am going to put all car expenditure in and the other will have the holidays, Christmas, birthdays etc.

I am going to try and get some of these a little lower but it is a work in progress.
