  • I've had to bite the bullet a bit this month. I've decided that I will be splitting my half yearly service charge bill for the flat into five instalments by direct debit. It's a higher than usual bill and has come at an expensive time for me. However, the £60+ it will cost me over 5 months is affordable because I will not have my £200 van loan going out any more.

  • Hi all!

I've been AWOL for a while, I know, but it's been hectic in the Pixie household ever since our wedding and honeymoon in late August/early September...and then i turned 40 a couple of weeks back too! :j (not)

However, I have managed to save some...er...savings, not use credit and have been PADing as usual.

Therefore please can you put me down for £854.72 please counter-upper!

I'm also still on the weight-loss kick, although my target has changed to an 8-week challenge and I haven't done Shred lately...however me and the husband plan to up the regime soon.

I hope everyone's well. There's no way I'm going to read back through all the weeks I've been absent so I'll just throw out some grins and hugs for those that need them.

Afternoon again everyone, just wanted to share with you how happy i'm feeling at the minute :D

I've had such a nice day so far today. I have the day off work (which seems normal with my cut in hours at work!), its really cold here but I wrapped up nice and warm and went for a walk into town, then walked about 20 minutes to the retail park. I went into Hobbycraft and got some Christmas card toppers reduced from £1.99 to 29p :money:
Went into Boots to look at the Christmas presents (didnt spend anything) , then when I was walking home I had a bit of a moment.

Yes I suffer from depression and have to rely on tablets on a daily basis, yes we are back in debt, and no we dont have a lot of money - BUT things could be so much worse!
I have a wonderful boyfriend who has supported me and helped me through so much and would do anything for me, we live in a lovely house with fantastic family, and I have a lovely little cat who comes running to see me everytime I walk through the front door :D

Sorry for the long soppy post, I just feel very positive, and feel like I have really turned a corner psychologically!
