Hello All
12/20 please
Thinking about your previous question HB For me personally I think It is the rebel in me that doesn't want to go home and wants to stay out for as long as possible and drink the whole bar. I think its a throw back to being 17/18/19 and not wanting to be around my parents and the pub providing that escape.
Its illogical these days as I live on my own but I think its a long ingrained habit and a bit of fear-of-missing-out. And also the grief people give you if you want to leave early, as though you are personally hurting them by wanting to leave.2017- 5 credit cards plus loan

I'm very relieved that other people recognise that sentiment of knowing perfectly well we've had enough and perfectly consciously opening another bottle / dipping back into the wine box / buying another round / accepting the offer of another one. It wasn't just me then; I just wondered.
Over dinner on Sunday neighbours were talking about a gin tasting evening they'd hosted last year. We weren't invited, no matter, but I used to love gin, and in my drinking days I'd have loved loved loved a gin tasting evening. Listening to them talking about it I was surprised to find I felt very detached from the discussion and found myself wondering if coke addicts talk about the different hits they get from coke from different sources. I wouldn't know, I've never been tempted by the stuff, and I'm not a fan of the black fizzy drink, either.
It seemed a slightly mad subject, to be honest, with my almost out of body experience while reflecting on being sober for three years listening to intelligent people discussing the merits of one version of getting !!!!!! over another. Because I used to love gin and not once was I even remotely tempted to go back to drinking it, and it therefore didn't come as a surprise to me that I drank in a dream that night, much to my dreaming disappointment in myself.
23/31 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0 -

Don't hesitate to let me know if I've made a mistake! What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
