In over 20 years of going to Vegas I have never had one comped night through a players card
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I once had a comped night at the IP and one at the Excalibur. Considering how low rollers we are, I was delighted with this even though I know they are low end places.

    Haven't had anything since though.

so my hubby looks at youtube videos to get himself in the mood for Vegas and he's currently getting prepared for our upcoming trip - this is our favorite so far - it's better if you don't read the caption/comments...and yes, she is playing $4.80/spin, but still.

Didn't look at reviews,we actually done the mini tour last time we were in Vegas. We booked through grand canyon tour company. It was about $30 each, and we had about 2hours at the dam.We saw a pre show about the construction of the dam,and then were taken down below the dam, where the giant turbines were.We then had some time to walk around the top of the dam. There is a little plaque on the wall stating where the Nevada/Arizona border is.They had removed the painted Nevada/Arizona markings from the road before our first trip. One other thing I noticed looking at pictures we took of the dam from our first trip, compared to our last visit, was the dramatic drop of the water line around the lake.It is noticeably lower than our first visit, and that's only a six year gap.

It's the first time it has happened to me as well.

To be honest, I haven't checked my Total Rewards account for a long time but I'm glad I did now:j.

I regularly check the 'mlife' account from MGM, and I've never had any offers from there.

I've just checked my TR account again and looked at dates up until Christmas, there are loads of comped nights available at Rio, IP, Harrahs and Bally's, and even a few at PH and Paris throughout the year. Look's like another trip later in the year may be on the cards :).
  • We've got 3 nights comped at NYNY this upcoming trip, plus $50 freeplay and 20% off our bill in certain restaurants. We got a similar deal last year, 3 nights, free entry to a slot tourny and $100 freeplay.

However, compared to last year there is a distinct lack of offers on Mlife, and seems almost worthless.

In our previous 3 visits to Vegas we have never signed up for the Total Rewards cards, looks like we've missed a trick there.

some at Open Vegas have said the same thing on mlife...someone said that they overcomped last year so were pullling back...we never got much, but were getting one night free at MB with $25 freeplay each and we would have probably stayed our last 3 nights there next trip (paying for the 3rd)...but nothing...so we went with TI for 2 free nights, $110 freeplay and $70 cost for the 3rd night...tacked onto 5 nights free at Bally's and we're pleased.

stoneman - I'm surprised with Mrs Stoneman's slot play that you guys don't get any comped nights at all at any CET casinos? Or is it just that you're not keen on the hotels they will offer?

That is so cool! We have played there a big, not a huge amount, but have had a lot of play for our limited money...a couple of chaces at Jackpot Party too (never more than 1 star)...and hubby plays the freeplay quite a lot - very grateful to Triker for mentioning it.

The chat kind of freaks me out though - some people sound absolutely desperate to win...someone said they won £3000 (one of the JPP prizes) on 21st December and lost it all back before Christmas! We were very OMG, that's just crazy.
