Jakes-mum, I syringe my own ears when they need it. It's just a squeezy bulb thing filled with luke-warm water gently squeezed into the ear. You can also do it by directing the shower head into your ear, but make sure it's not too powerful.

Do you have hayfever? I've noticed my ears have started producing more wax since the hayfever season has started eugh!

OMG they are going to turkey baste my ears :eek::eek: :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Actually yes I do suffer hayfever, thats interesting to know, could be related, though im also feeling a bit fluey so wonder if the ears are the start to a nasty cold :(

Haha I had this twice... the private doctor scooped out a big lump of wax and the ent specialist had to 'hoover' my ear out as it had lots of debris! very embarassing. I think it's just dead skin cells and stuff, plus the infection could produce gunk as the body tries to attack it? I could be talking utter rubbish and we are just dirty mares with dirty ears :D

DH just jumped a mile as I burst out laughing at that! I havent read it back to him as I know he would say thats definitely the reason :rotfl:

On a slightly ranty note (p.s. please accept my sincere apologies if this post offends anyone especially our male posters/lurkers)...

Are men born selfish or are they just programmed from birth?????!!!!!!!

I'm going to guess that someone has done something to set this off? I'd like to say that not all of us are, but I think most people will be selfish in certain aspects, and considerate in most other areas.

Whatever happened, hope it wasn't too bad. I think Jakes-mum probably has it right though, its probably just a complete blind spot about whatever is bothering you.

That's amazing! :j How did you do it?

Choc. I haven't the foggiest. My budget is there to show what I can spend and each month I keep ending showing I've over paid but I'm in a credit balance! Slightly panicked. One of the big things is following the simple rules of shifting debt, revaluation of my utilities and finally asking husband for the £56.50 every month that I'd not asked for!

I'm probably one of the worst success stories on here. However as a bit of motivation I have spreadsheet that shows if I keep paying at my set amount each month. Its was only as a result of playing about with the amounts and facing up to my debts its shown how much I have achieved. Simple things make me realise that all my budget cutting and falling apart pants/ clothes are so worth it come the end of this year.

Oh and p.s. Men can be good and bad! Left mine today only got back an hour and half ago with a slow cooked pork fillet. Having said that he squabbles about owing me £10!

My OH has just dropped the "how do you feel about living in Canada for a year" bombshell on me.... I'm sure I've told him before that instead of carrying on being a student after uni, that he should get a bleeding job! I've told him the only way I'll drop my career for his is if it's for maternity leave. But I very much doubt I'll even do that, as raising a newborn in a foreign country that charges for healthcare really isn't my idea of fun, quite the opposite. It really is quite a selfish thing for him to ask me to do. Especially as I've already told him under no circumstances do I wish to live in a country that's colder than the one I already live in!!! What a stupid thing to ask someone that can't regulate their temperature at 0 degrees, let alone minus 40. Men!

Uh-oh...sounds like you have some decisions to make. I came out to Canada for a year and 4 years on I am still here-ha ha! Although I miss friends and family, the country has really grown on me. Here on the West Coast we have v hot summers with mild winters. We only had less than a week of snow all winter. The health insurance is quite similar to the NHS in that it is one of the benefits given by employers as part of your job. It is lovely bringing children up here- mine love all the free skiing etc.
If you did come out here, I could be your tour guide !!!
