Does your contract allow you to accept it QoC?

Years ago Mr TS was left money in one of his clients will, a substantial sum too would have made such a difference to us at the time. But there is a clause in his contract that he is not allowed to accept gifts etc. In the end he was allowed to accept but then had to gift straight to the charity he worked for.

Probably different circumstances to you but the client could not understand the help Mr TS was giving him he was already getting paid for. He did try and explain. The solicitor contacted Mr TS direct and said his client hoped he could accept it. I guess in the end he has indirectly benefitted by it going to the company who pays his wages....

I do that. We were in Birmingham on a job and I started talking with their accent, really didn't know I was doing it. It just happens.

The question is does she know you are paid by your company to do the work? If she knows then she obviously wanted to give you a bonus.

I'll answer both together - said person runs a private practice but wasn't getting any work because the information an a particular website was well out of date - I said to change it to mine straight away to stop them losing any more business and now I am paid by my company to work for them directly. Person does know that the company pays me. I shall look it at as an early Christmas present I think

Well if they know they obviously want you to have it. And if there is nothing in your contract to say you can't accept then you are good to go. ;)

Well done you must have made a big difference for them. :A

Got mine the first Wednesday of October, so they could have changed it. Or it was just slow coming to my gmail maybe ?
    See what others say. :)
