Thank you TF. She said yesterday's exam was worse than the one last week. I have told her to stop worrying about it now. No point in worrying about something that is now in the past.
Child benefit in yesterday and allocated to the various pots.
Managing to scrape lunch together each day so not spending daily. I found an Irish bread roll thingy in the freezer when I was digging for bread this morning so brought that and bread for today and tomorrow which is handy as I have a seminar which is work-related tonight so I won't make it to Mr M's later. Wednesday is usually grocery night.
I have a £1 coin in my purse which I'm hanging on to for just-in!Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Nothing much to share this week. I got 2 x £2 coins in my change the other day so they went in the pot.

Last day in the old job today :j I've nearly been in tears twice already due to the lovely friends I've made here. I've hated this place from day one but I can't fault my fab colleagues.

Oops! Didn't mean to leave it so long.
Started the new job a week past Monday so nearly at the end of my second week. My only complaint is that I don't like not knowing what I'm doing so I'm struggling a wee bit with that but other than that, so far so good. I'm having to finish a wee bit later than contracted but I can't just walk out and leave my team if why're not finished. That's not good leadership! I'm loving that I feel quite at home here. Never felt at home in the last place.
Anyway financial news:
Loan down to £7,530.
Mortgage £89,690
There's enough money in the grocery budget for 3 decent weeks. I just need to make sure not to go overboard. Apart from my first day at work I've been organised enough to take lunch every day so I'm very pleased about that.
Got a HUGE cc bill to pay in a few days. I have the money ready so not worried about that but it's eye watering to look at.

Just read your diary and you are doing so well in reducing that loan. Presumably when that is done you will overpay more on the mortgage as it is interest only?
