Growing pineberries
They look like white strawberries but taste like pineapple.
I've recently seen an article saying that Waitrose are going to stock pineberries. Does anyone know if it is possible to grow these from seed or if plants are available? I was hoping to have a go in my greenhouse or allotment but to date have never seen them.

Plants are available, surprise surprise, from Waitrose http://www.waitrosegarden.com/plants/_/fragaria-ananassa-pineberry-white-dream
I'd be tempted to try eating them before trying to grow them. There's often a reason why we haven't seen these new, amazing fruits before, and it's usually because they're an acquired taste.0 -
Or if you google them then there's several other sellers. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
