Travel insurance

Hi!

Can anyone recommend me any good travel insurance company? I need to fly to USA for around 16 days. It's not easy to find good one. If anyone has experience of any and share with it, that would be great!

Cheers,

I don't know what your definition of a geed one is.

I have travel insurance free with Nationwide and pay a supplement for US travel.

Had to cancel a holiday last year and was paid in full without hassle.

When did the USA rejoin the UK then..?

And buying insurance hardly fits other aspects of "Going Out"!

Who mentioned the UK ? I didn't nor did the OP nor did MSE Andrea who set the thread up.

Seriously, I do agree it ought to be UK only and Travel Insurance isn't usually appropriate.

However OP did raise a question which deserved an answer.

This is a UK-board - Overseas discussion goes in the subject/location-appropriate subforms. This is neither - The Overseas travel board is the obvious place and its where the OP will get the best help possible.

I've used Coverwise - https://www.coverwise.co.uk It is underwritten by AXA insurance and also covers for pre-existing medical conditions if you have any.
  • A travel insurance can minimize financial risks of traveling but be careful in considering the coverage and guidelines. For an extensive travel insurance coverage, go with a known company and avoid buying insurance from that you found online provided that you have reviewed the package.

    Got anyone to recommend ?
  • I've tried Insuremytrip when I was in the US. It was just a tool though. I was able to see different companies based on the premium I wanted to pay. Should work here as well.

You don't normally need travel insurance for going out in the UK!
