Hi I have noticed that some nice snow globes are very pricy, has anyone made any? I noticed that Sainsburys have a jar that's 25cl which is reduced from £2 to £1.33, I would like traditional old type snow globe like tree/snow, maybe santa or snow garden/town type?

Glue small models of trees etc to lid. Put water, glycerine and glitter into jar and screw on lid. Add a layer of glue around lid to seal. Turn upside down.
Lots of ideas on Pinterest.
I'm thinking of doing these with Brownies and Guides this Christmas.0 -
I have a nice couple of jar's I have found in my storage area and on Amazon I have found small plastic trees I will glue, but any ideas where I can get the snow from(cheapish) that will go in the water and stay at bottom till shaken?0

I bought some last year for about £1. I can't remember whether I bought it from Wilkinson's or The Works though. Home Bargains might have some. Look in the children's craft department.
ETA: I've just found this on Amazon:

I would imagine it would work, but without trying I couldn't be certain. The glitter should settle on the lower surfaces until the globe is shaken, and because the water is thickened by the glycerine, the glitter should swirl until it settles again. I think the only thing to do is experiment.0
