Yay! It feels like I've been waiting forever to take part :j it has been AMAZING watching you old potters cash in - really inspiring the amounts you've saved.
So at the weekend I counted the miscellaneous bits and bobs of money I had hanging round the house, bagged what I could (so I don't have to recount that money this time next year) then sealed the jar with about half a roll of gaffer tape My starting point was £42.70.
And I've managed to pot something every day since then.
Nixy's potting rules are
1. £2 - in the pot!
2. Anything smaller than a 50p piece - in the pot
3. If it's a no spend day - £1 in the pot from my purse.
4. Anything from FB sales under £10 - in the pot....... and I'm thinking I might make a blanket rule that all FB sales fullstop go in the pot as normally the money goes in my purse and I don't really feel any benefit from it. I don't sell on FB much - I prefer it to Ebay though, much less hassle so far.
So there we are. All revved up and raring to go. First pot is already 3/4 full - when it's done it's destined for the attic - for safety from burglars and myself
Excited to join you all and looking forward to seeing what I can do with your support xxxComps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%

Good Morning!
Thanks for the new thread Sue - heres to another year of saving for all of us. I don't currently have anything to start the pot off with....but I'm going into town to buy some wrapping paper today as I've finished Christmas shopping but neglected to buy anything to wrap it all in! Durh! Anyway I reckon this will mean that I have something to add to the pot before the day is out :j
Sue - Thanks for the sparky update I really hope he is able to appear back on the thread sometime. Also I see Jakes Mum has already pointed out a few things but also the first post point 5 says declare on Nov 26.....
Best wishes to those who are undergoing hospital investigations etc. Easy for me to say but try not to worry about things you have no control over.
Happy saving xxxChallenge savings 2010-2016 £1564.60:j
