The Scottish Government has launched its white paper ahead of the independence referendum due in 10 months’ time. The question that’ll be asked is: “Should Scotland be an independent country?”

While only people in Scotland will vote, we wanted to see the answer from across the UK.

  • The majority YES to Scottish independence found in this poll reflects what YES activists are finding on the doorsteps and streets of Scotland. Voting YES is not being about anti-English or anti-anybody, it is simply a desire of Scots to govern themselves.

Which is why you want all your laws and policies to be subservient to those made in Brussels?

Online polls are far too easy to manipulate to give any kind of accurate reflection.

The yes vote here is being driven by places like the yes scotland facebook page directing it's followers here.

The mere fact this is your first post, joined December 2013 probably means you where sent here just to vote!

I can not wait, they will be liquefied like Greece and any "oil money" they rave on about wont even pay the interest on the bail out in 2015.

They think they can trust the EU cabal more than their fellow Celtic relations in England because we live over a line drawn in the dirt they deserve all they have coming.
    Be happy...;)

really? online polls which are open to everyone are the least informative thing ever. too easy to manipulate.

Even Panelbase have made it so that new signups cannot do this particular poll as the one that showed a majority for independence was shown to have been manipulated. And it was commisioned by the SNP!!

The latest "real" poll has Independence at 27%, that's a real stat.

If you take Panelbase out of the equation the rest of the regular pollsters have never had a no lead less than 10% when asking the actual question

In fact without panelbase in the calender year support from Independence has never been over 34% and has been as low as 25%

    Those are the real facts.

Of course you realise that the Scottish Government runs its budget in the black, while still giving more to Westminster than it gets back in the block grant. Unlike Westminster, which runs its budget in the red, with a level of debt that is spiraling out of control, that already takes more from Scotland than it gives back, and which is threatening to cut a further £4bn from the Scottish block grant. Truth is, the UK needs Scotland much more than Scotland needs the UK, and the only bailing out after independence will be south of the border. The Scottish economy needs a massive shake up - the London-centric model does not work for Scotland.

And as you obviously know nothing at all about the referendum (or you would be aware of the very basic fact that whether the majority vote is Yes or No, Scotland will still be part of the UK in 2015), then your opinion has absolutely no grounding in reality. You should do some research before firing this groundless tripe into a forum.

Well the EU hasn't parked a raft of nukes next to Scotland's biggest city.
Or sent our under-equipped troops to fight dubious wars.
Or gathered in all Scotland's taxes and generously gifted back what they thought Scotland deserved. :)
