Oh my word, I'm am soooooo stiff, walking round like a 90yr old with arthritis... We were still moving the business until about 5pm yesterday so I am absolutely shattered. According to my sisters boyfriend though, we burned off over 4000 calories on Saturday and probably about 2500 yesterday! What a fantastic workout!

I weighed myself this morning and whilst I nearly cried, it will be the heaviest I will ever be from now on. I have my head back in the game after going off the rails a little bit over the last couple of months. 2 colleagues from work are also upping the ante with weightloss and we're going to weigh each other once a week and keep each other motivated (and tell each other off if we reach for the biscuits!) I'm also running the 5k race for life in 3 weeks so need to get a move on with my training.

On a debt busting note, I started a fresh with my spreadsheet and feel a lot happier about it as looking at the old one, seeing how far along I should be was just making me feel guilty and down. This new sparkly one is better and I still should make my DFD of Xmas but I need to be really focused cos there is little room for error now (in fact I have no room for error...) I'm going to transfer all my money about today and am going to leave all my cards at home except my debit card which will just have my monthly allowance in it. I'm restarting my VSP and also start saving 20p's and £2's again. I desperately need to eb@y but obviously that was out this weekend! If I can get everything together and photographed/photoshopped then I can get them on so I can get some money back.

Anyway, enough waffle from me! I'll do my updating tonight and then tomorrow I will be able to give you all the total paid off in April and I'm hoping it will be a good one!!! Come on guys, we've only got a few months left, let's make them count... This is just one year in your life so you can enjoy a better one for you and your family xxx

Welcome to the thread Jo84 :)

My payday was yesterday so bills money came out today, need to do the shuffle into pots for yearly bills (mostly car) and then I shall see if I can shuffle at least some more into my savings :) Hoping OH looks at my iPod today whilst I'm at work. I did see one other person with a similar problem but no one had replied :(

My challenge for me this month is food money. I think I'm going to take £200 for the month and that's pretty much it.. We have good stocks I just need to start planning what we're having in advance, my worst bit is buying veg and then it not getting used so must do better.

been to the supermarket this morning to do the weekly shop. quite happy with £60 except for the fact that 12 weetabix cost me £1.65. a 48 pack was £4.75!!!! what on earth is going on.

i normally buy the own brand but they didnt have any. daylight robbery.

Hi there. I know exactly what you mean. Previous to my LBM I was spending £80 to £100 per week at Tescos and there are only 2 of us (plus 4 cats). Since then I've started a little circuit going to Lidl, Aldi and then Asda (for branded stuff). I did some calculations to compare which came up with Tesco £61 and the same/equivalent from Aldi £39.

This week I wasn't well so only went to Asda which cost £57 but this included £5 for 3 trays of bedding plants and £24 for a months worth of cat food and treats.

Which is why my diary is call "I can't beleive how easy it can be " [sic] because once I had my LBM making the effort to stop be a lazy Tesco drone and seek out better deals I lost my £1000 overdraft in 2 months.

I got to say Angelbob, you do get a fair bit for your cash, DD is walking round in her new £2 trousers, her £3 cardigan (size 7-8  shes 4  we just rolled the sleeves up :rotfl:) and her £1.50 top. Is it taking it too extremes that as all her clothes were reduced I was balking at paying £1.50 for a t'shirt just because it wasnt reduced? :o You did well for your £51 though :j

Welcome Jo84, never too late to pay some debt, Mfou will be along and find you your very own shiny number at some point (shes a flighty minx, we never know when she'll po pup :rotfl:)

Well done Antonia :j :j Steaming along with the debt busting, i'll be limping over the finish line on me own at this rate

Ahh Fallen, if i've got veg going a bit funny the slow cooker is dragged out and a big stew made (freezing the left overs :D) best way to use up them veggies . . . well unless you hate stew  then im afraid im no help :rotfl:

Well done on the overdraft Bonglecat, though remember ladies, if you DO go to Mr T, pop your receipt info into their price checker for just the difference as if they are more expensive than As*a they give you a voucher to print off for your next shop for what you would have saved.
