Eurotunnel booking loophole??

Options
Hi,

I was looking on the Eurotunnel site and noticed that they are doing day returns for £22 each way .. so that's £44 return becuse you have to book it as a return.

I then realised its actually cheaper to book 2 of these rather one regular return for a longer period so I got thinking.

If you wanted to go away for 2 weeks, would it be feasible to book a Folkstone-Calais day return for your outbound date (£44) and not use the return? (I know they cancel the return if you dont use the outbound but they cant really do it the other way round).

Then book a Calais-Folkstone day return for your return date (£44) is the same way as before.

ie. you are booking two day returns, using the outbound but not the return.

I found this worked out considerably cheaper than getting a regular return covering the 2 week period.

Anyone tried this before??
