    Best wishes :)
  • Really pleased to see that so many of you have finally got your awards. Kken - can't believe what you / your daughter are having to do but hopefully the powers that be will overturn the decision and your daughter will finally get the help that she needs.

LL30 - very best wishes for your course and hopefully everything will be much easier from here on.

    Hi Geordie girl,
I did wonder if you were going for MR. Followed your posts for a while and saw yours and Mrs Ryans declines at the same time. I knew she had gone for MR but had thought you had decided not to take things further. So glad you have! Yep, its another waiting game but its quite difficult as there are not too many personal recounts of the process. Keep in touch and I will let you know any developments too. Might help others who end up in the same boat. Hope you are successful, never fail to be astounded by peoples refusals. Take care:)

Just come on and can't believe yous are still waiting. Glad too see both still fighting it though should be a outcome soon let's hope it's positive. I would of been on sooner but have been unwell. Xx

    A decision. Application was 27/8/13, f2f 24/7/14 in Manchester.

Letter arrived today and back pay is showing in my account for Monday.

Awarded enhanced for mobility but only 6 points for Daily Living, which I consider to be understated.

Another for reconsideration I think, using the 'twice as long' guidelines.
    Any help appreciated.

Good luck to all who are as of yet unresolved.

    Hi
I applied 19 weeks ago and spoke to them 4 week ago and was told at this stage they had all my information and it was been reviewed by a health practioner.
I dont understand what this means or which stage my claim is at.
can anyone shed any light on this to which stage my claim is at and how long they take to review it?
    thanks

The HCP is looking at your evidence to then decide whether you need a f2f. Well, that's my understanding anyway.

So sorry you havent been well and hoping you get better very soon. Yep, we are still fighting! Didnt think I could carry on but determined to get justice. Rang DWP the other day to query timescales for MR as I had read of some people getting a quick response. The guy said that generally happens if they havent got enough extra supporting evidence to change their decision. He then said if he was to open all the extra suporting evidence I had submitted, he would be there til midnight. I have taken this as a positive statement but trying not to get ahead of myself as we were gutted at the initial decline and dont want the emotional distress again but I will fight on until there is no other avenue open. I owe it to my daughter. What distressed me this week is that my daughter watched the Speakman programme on the lady with contamination OCD and got really upset with the realisation of the impact on her family and friends. She said we would be happier without her around. It is for this reason we want to get her specialist help which the PIP award would enable us to do. I was going to take a step back from this forum but if my experiences will help others, I will keep on posting any developments. Any thoughts on if the DWP guys comments are relevant or positive? Well done for all with their awards sorted and keep going for all who are going through MR. Take care everyone, be good to yourselves and others :)
