Smeg Engineer Failed To Keep Appointment

Regarding my faulty Smeg cooker, an engineer called me this morning between 9am/9.30am to say he'd been round just after 1pm.

So far, he's failed to turn up.

My other half took a day off work.

He's lost 3 and a half hours overtime.

What are our rights if the doesneer doesn't turn up at all?

Thanks.

Have a read of MSE's Failed Delivery article.

You will see that as you were planning to take a day off today, you have not yet suffered a loss.
You will however be able to claim for lost earning for any rescheduled appointment.
  • If he doesn't come by 4pm, I've got a contact I can ring at Curry to report it.

Its the principle he's not turned up, the engineer has my phone number so he has no excuse not to phone me if there is a problem with him coming.

This cooker is only 9 months old, things are not made to last anymore!!

    Child/family member rushed to hospital.

    Accident at work.

    Accident travelling

    Delayed on job, no battery.

    No signal.

    Health issue.

I could list thousands of reasons why i wouldnt ring someone i had an appointment with. From tripped over a duck and ended up in hospital to ate a turnip and ended up projectile vomiting in to a vicars face.
  • My other half took a wasted day off work for this, we've every right to be angry about it!!
