Hi everyone

Sorry if you are struggling to access the forum. We believe we are being attacked by a DDOS which is where dodgy individuals use sophisticated software to mimic millions of users trying to get on the site at the same time. Rest assured we are on the case.

    Some of us spent much of last Monday reporting huge numbers of vindictive spam posts from a certain company. It could well be them again...

    Probably the same dodgy kitchen salesman twonk who over loaded the forum last week with whiney self pitying posts.

    Kitchen guy most likely candidate obviously. There was that huge DDOS attack a couple of years or so ago that went on for several days as well and coincided with rather "interesting" national news as I recall. I cant remember either the exact date of that one or the major national news it coincided with...

    I got the feeling this was happening on Monday night and Tuesday morning, when, hours after I initially tried to get on the Forums, I finally got onto the main website home page.

    The stats section stated that there were over 7,500 users on the forum.

    7,500 users?? Really?

    Didn't think so.

    I'm grateful you're up and running again.

    More power to your collective elbows. Thanks for all your efforts.

    Yes. Afraid MSE annoys a lot of people and companies who are doing their best to rip people off, or give bad service, or simply don't like consumers being told how to save money. Occupational hazard of a site like this.
