Morgan Freeman all the way in this house.

Glenn Close/Helen Mirren for the ladies.

I'd love to see Del Boy having a drink with Granville and Inspector Frost.
Or the Prince Regent from Blackadder III dining with House

Another vote for Morgan Freeman.

And if they carry on as they have started out... Mark Wahlberg, Christof Waltz, Ryan Gosling, Edward Norton, Emma Stone, Carey Mulligan, Tom Hardy, Jessica Chastain, Adrien Brody, Marion Cotillard.

Morgan Freeman is in a league if his own... And probably the greatest voice ever. I have vocal chord jealousy.

Forgot about Morgan Freeman. I also think that Jim Carrey is underrated as an actor. The Truman Show was fantastic. I also like John Travolta and Nicholas Cage. Oh and Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale and Michael Caine (you can tell that The Prestige is one of my favourite films)

Anthony Hopkins is pretty good and I liked John Thaw. Best of all time would be a hard one to decide on though. Must give it some thought.

Mads Mikkelsen -he was fantastic in the Hunt; it took my breath away!

Christian Bale; been following with him ever since I saw him in Empire of the Sun (we're more or less the same age, that film made a big impression on me).

Meryl Streep, especially in Sophie's Choice.

Gregory Peck , it's his voice and presence.

I like Drew Barrymore and Charlize Theron, she was just Brilliant in Monster!

Werner Herzog - he's pure, dead brilliant!
I look around this once-great country of ours and I know, I'm weird and, what's more, if it's a choice between weird and the way things are going, I'll choose weird every time over what constitutes normal. No, I won't hate foreigners. No, I won't hate the poor. No, I don't eat dead animals. And yes, I am a bit lefty too!

Ian McClellan. How could I have forgotten him!

He was a wonderful young MacBeth, a menacing Iago, poignant and funny Pozzo, as well as a great visitor in Corrie.

Morgan Freeman, Ian Mckellen, Leonardo DiCaprio & Tom Hanks are all in my top actor list.

Females - Helen Mirren, Maggie Smith, Dame Judi Dench, Meryl Streep & Marion Coutillard.

I thought Streep did a very good on the Thatcher film. I am not a fan of maggie thatcher and did my best to have an open mind whilst watching it.
I still dont like the woman but i thought Streep portrayed her exactly how i remember her.

I know that others do take that view too. My feeling was that like her or loath her she made her reputation through being strong, dominant and controlling. The film focussed on her declining years, her fragility and dementia. It may be accurate and I agree sympathetic but I did not think it was appropriate to do this to a still living public figure who had led the country so forcefully (albeit in the wrong direction!).

Rod steiger, Sydney poitier. Malcolm mcdowell, Robert de niro (8 films: Casino, Raging bull, Taxi driver, Mean streets, Goodfellas, Godfather 2, King of comedy and Midnight Run.) He just turns up and goes through the motions these days..Shame.
