First Birthday Present Ideas

Hi, I'm hoping that someone may be able to come up with an amazing idea for me as I'm really struggling to think of something good!
Some friends and I who all have babies of a similar age have decided to do a kind of secret santa for their first birthday presents with a price limit of £20 so I'm trying to think of something lovely for the baby girl I've picked.
I don't want to do clothes as not hugely exciting and couldn't guarantee sizing, her parents are quite traditional and don't like plasticky, noisy/light up toys (maybe something wooden could be a possibility though?), obviously nothing too big as would be a bit rude to take over their house, and can't really do books as got them for the last 2 occasions within the group so need to do something a bit different this time really.
Any help would be much appreciated. I really want to get something she'll love.
Thanks ☺

Got a Peter Rabbit bowl/ cup/ spoon set for nephew. And books would be fine, they'll need more books/ different books as they get older.0

How about a more 'traditional' wooden toy? You can find them anywhere....my daughter got stacking O-rings as a present and she loved them (those ones that get smaller the higher you stack)0

An independent toy shop is great for this kind of thing. Wooden O rings are great, as are those puzzles where you put the animals in the right shaped hole (good for parents teaching their child tge different animals) or a wooden pull along toy like a cow fir when they start walking. Just find a small independent toy shop and they'll have lots of options.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0

Take a look at wonderworld toys. I bought the rainbow sound block for a Great niece at Christmas.Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0

I bought my daughter this for her first birthday, with her full name on it. She obviously wasn't that bothered when she was 1, but she loves it now!

There are cute bracelets with the name on the bracelet. I bought a silver one for GD for her first birthday and she has never had it off since then, she's two now. So cute on a little girl. Lots of styles/prices online. I bought something like this.

I know I am resurrecting an oldish thread but I love the Melissa & Doug toys. They are amazing quality and have an old fashioned feel to them while being educational. My house is full of them.0
