  • Car wouldn't start Wednesday morning. Not best pleased as I had an appointment to get to:mad:. OH had lent his jump leads to someone months ago and didn't get then back so he took my battery in to the battery centre to be checked. Dead as a dodo, no hope of resuscitation but given it was only a cheapie and I'd had it for years it wasn't surprising that it was kaput.

He brought a new battery home and fitted it and everything is working like a dream now:j. At least it wasn't a more expensive fault, the battery cost just under £50. There's better news too because OH had eventually twigged that I was feeling 'down' because of rubbish life events and bought me a lottery Lucky Dip ticket to cheer me up on his way home with the battery. It won £25 in that night's lottery so in effect the battery only cost me £25 of my own money:j. Not moneymaking as such but not money draining either

Hi, really late to ask but can I still join? Only just rediscovered the wonder of this thread after finally refinding my password for this site 2 weeks ago, if I can given its late in the month I will go for £100 as a target if I may?
Hiya and welcome to the January 'Fred'. Never too late to be making money. I have added you to the list of challengers and good luck with the challenge :D

Wow this has been a busy thread in the last couple of days!
I have had an amazing couple of days - I have £627.50 to add to my total :j:j
£610 slot wins (after deducting deposit)
    £10 SB
    £7.40 from mintvine/branded surveys
    10p citizen me

I'm totally amazed with my massive win and the money has gone straight into the deposit fund for a mortgage and I'm hoping the rest of the money I've made will be enough for the cost of getting car through mot :)

My heart goes out to you, shariann:kisses3:. I know what it's like to be in despair and feeling helpless to move on. I hope things will start to improve and your way forward will become clearer and easier once you've seen your GP. Well done for taking that first step.

Sending love and positivity (though I seem to have precious little of that myself at the moment:o) your way xxx

Thanks CBC. Sorry to hear about your car trouble but glad it wasn't too expensive to sort. How is the clear out going? Found any treasures amongst the clutter?
