Opening ISA in Childs name

For the Junior ISAs the child can take control of the account at 16 and withdraw money at 18.
Any account in your child's name they will be free to do what they want with it at 18.
So if you just want control of it in the time being then any Junior ISA will do the job and you can open many of them online.
If you want control of it beyond that then no, you would have to open the account in your name or use existing account and gift the money as and when you desire.
