Hiya MG - sounds like you have had a nice mix of productive and enjoyable things over the weekend. DIY always seems to feel better if you have MSE-style obtained the bits and pieces. I'm also on CP and tend to get their vouchers for a DIY shop too

    Have a great day x

Thanks BW. The decorating took longer than planned and I didn't finish until Thursday (I did have to pop out for an appointment on Tuesday though). I'm so pleased that it's done. The house was rather chaotic with kitchen stuff all over the place for a few days! I was very lucky though as my Mum and Nanna made sure that I was well fed. :) So that's one big job that I can tick off the list. I'm not sure what's next, maybe saving up for a new carpet for the reading room...In the long run I would like to have the kitchen extended and have a conservatory fitted but that will (hopefully) be once I'm mortgage free but I am considering starting to save towards it now.

So today has been a lazy day - in fact it's the first lazy day I've had in over a week as I've been busy doing garden stuff over the past couple of days. It's lovely to not have to think about doing anything, I'm having a mammoth 'Amazing Spaces' fest and eating mini eggs. :D I went to Mr T's earlier and managed to scoop some yellow stickered bargains - a big packet of stir fry veggies and some peppers so I'm looking forward to cooking them up for my tea (and probably living off them for the next few days too!)

I've made a few op's this week. I received £5 from sw@gbucks, just over £13 from C3X and £6 from a book sale on Am@zon. I'm slowly getting rid of my 'treasures' and decluttering my space, i'm pleased to be adding some extra pennies to the op pot too.

It's a great feeling isn't it getting jobs done. After DD's room I would like to get the hall, stairs and landing done. That will have to wait til the Summer hols. DD still can't decide on a paint for her walls. She has silver glitter for one wall but can't decide on white for the other walls or a really light heather colour!! This has plagued me for days :)
Have a good week. Look forward to your posts x

Yes I love getting things done and ticking them off my list (think i'm a listoholic!) The hallway was the first diy job I ever tackled in my house and it made such a difference to the feel of the place. Luckily it coincided with being snowed in and a few days off work plus my Dad came round to help too, which was an added bonus.

Sounds like a tough choice on the white or light heather. Have you tried some testers? I guess it would also be worth considering if there were pictures/posters going on the wall and which would suit them best as well as how much daylight you get in the room. Hmmmm the joys of decorating ;)

Don't work too hard this week.

Decluttering and money making. Almost as good a combination as a lazy day and eating mini eggs :)

It certainly is Cath! I certainly prefer the mini eggs option, although technically i'm still decluttering as i'm decluttering mini eggs into my mouth, :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

A busy week this week and £30.96 added to the op pot through interest, a sw@gbucks redeem, spare5 and a zeek voucher. Not bad going really. I'm going shopping today armed with £40 worth of vouchers, some of which are about to expire so it'd be rude not to spend them. :D

    Have a lovely Saturday,

When the shopping is with vouchers - I don't count it as spending as not like you can use them for paying bills, etc. ;)

Have a great day MG :)

Yep I totally agree there, although I did spend some money of the paper variety too...just a little though. I bought some fab new slippers (is it wrong that I'm so excited about them? :o), a couple of tops and a few kitchen bits. And to finish the day perfectly I've just had a chilled pamper session complete with nail painting. :)

Now it's time for a cuppa and maybe a white choc chip cookie or two.
