Getting there with the list. Things keep adding themselves on...progress a bit slower this week, but I am trying to keep the momentum going without burning myself out.

Definately sleeping better - I think I have a clearer idea in my head now I am better organised (especially with charity stuff).

£17 spend in Herr A last night and a shop at Mr T tonight (might throw a couple of presents into the mix too).

Making Christmas cake (ours) and small ones for fundraising tomorrow - looking forward to it - Grandma's recipe (Mum's Mum) - need to get my happy head and my dancing shoes on to make sure it comes out right (Grandma's Mum used to dance round the kitchen whilst making cakes - apparently, I am alot like her). The only difference in recipe will be spiced rum instead of sherry (in the name of decluttering of course!).:D

While the cakes are cooking I will get my charity paperwork done.

Weather is pretty grim, so no walk for me today, but have been watching it takes two to wind down when I get home this week and it seems to be working.

HM Chinese Chicken & Mushroom Curry planned for tonight's tea - a couple of naan breads to be used out of the cupboard. #usingupwhati'vegot #decluttering:rotfl:

Might even indulge in a glass of vino...

Happy Friday all and I hope everyone has fab weekends.

I love the tradition of baking Christmas cake, and the smell of it baking, but I'm not bothering this year as I usually throw it out/bring it to work by end of Jan as no-one at home will eat it, so it's a waste.

Hope you have a good weekend baking and dancing.

Family recipes are great fun, we don't really have any at Edinburgher towers. I'm hoping that Mrs E's dad spills the beans at some point, I am sure he is full of cheffy wisdom!

Thanks megela, Tilly and Ed - I actually felt excited about doing the cakes...

Well, the music went on and I danced round the kitchen (best I could in such a small space - turned out to be a bit more of a jig!:rotfl:)

Cakes are now done (just need icing) - 11 for fundraising purposes (one went wrong as the loose bottom in the tin was skewed; so it went to quality control:D); and a 6" Cake for home - just the right size. People seem to love the look of a Christmas Cake, but don't seem to want to eat much these days - so this is perfect.

Registered for Charities online - authentication code should be in the post this week and then I can get the gift aid declarations put in. Minutes of the last meeting done too and e-mailed off.

Need to get some waterproofing spray for our charity gazebo - might pop and do that tomorrow, so I don't forget.

Also need to get kilner jars from !kea this week and plants need moving.

On the run down to my week off now, but I don't think it will be a good week at work as the boss is back off holiday on Monday and I am sure he will be 'on a mission' as usual - it just gets very tiresome .

Managed to print off my form for the premium bond investment - just need to fill in and send off.

Cold last night, I put the gas fire on for a couple of hours - was lovely and toasty whilst watching the TV - don't want to make a habit of this just yet, but the temperature did dip quite a lot last evening.

Need to get household chores done today as none done yesterday - hoping for a fairly chilled day after that.

Hoping I will be able to go back to sleep for a bit - been awake since 6am!

Hope everyone's weekend is going well.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with Christmas preparations well underway.

I am not exactly preparing for Christmas, but I am as a by-product of getting stuff sorted for the fundraisers. Having to do it stealth-like as DH is still endging the list and budget task.

Had pretty much a lazy day yesterday apart from 2 loads of washing and a bit of tidying up.

Mealplan went a bit to pot at the weekend: Friday, instead of Chicken Curry, we had Greek Style Chicken stuffed into Pitta bread. Saturday, DH brought some indian bbq back from the pub! and the Salmon that was supposed to be Saturday's tea got cooked yesterday and we are having it for tea tonight.

Really got to try and pin down DH to make list and budget tonight...

Tonight's tea is Salmon with Cream & Dill Sauce.

    Hope everyone's Monday is ok.
