Thank you! I am excited to have some challenges and I find t really helps me focus on not spending and trying to clear my debt.
On extra challenges to add, how about something like making a meal a week out of leftovers/using up things in the fridge or something like that? So you can only cook with whatever you have left in the fridge at the end of the week or something similar? Although people may already do things like this on NSDs etc0 -
So it is the first day of June and I have set up my direct debit to my savings (am sending 7.5% of my salary straight into savings on payday going forward and moved it in physically today).
Have also meal planned for this week in preparation for June beginning today. Also I have downloaded a budget app and input all my known outgoing bills for the month and will update it with any purchases made. Today is going to be a day where I leave my card at home as well so will fall into one of my NSDs.
I have done my monthly budget for June and split it down into what I have to spend a week. Anything that I have left over at the end of the week I am going to pop into my savings.
All in all I am feeling positive about my first June challenge. Let's hope the rest of this month goes as well :j:T0 -
Hello hello.
Great work on those goals, Simmo!
I've :
Take your meals to work
Take your own water bottle
Check your bank account(s) regularly daily
I also moved my wages into a savings account now titled "Holding account" so when ever I have bills to pay for or shopping, I only transfer the amount I need into my current account so I only spend what I need to so hopefully I spend money more carefully - especially since June is a busy month and also I have a lot I wish to save for.Home Deposit: £100.61|BULSFund: £50.00|EmergencyFund: £89.76 | Retirement: 5.21| Xmas 17:£10.00 |July NSD:1 / 150 -
