Free Benefit Cosmetics Dews The Hoola in next months Elle magazine. (September cover)

Out Weds 3rd Aug
£4.10
RRP £9.95

Official MoneySavingExpert insert Tue 2 Aug: The September issue of Elle (Kristen Stewart on the cover) is on sale from Wed 3 Aug to Mon 19 Sep and costs £4.10. The freebie is a Benefit Dew The Hoola liquid bronzer, 5ml, worth £3.75 based on the full-sized 30ml product in John Lewis - so only worth buying if you'd purchase the magazine anyway. Elle has told us subscribers should also receive the freebie.

Big thanks to sampan26 for the original spot!

Yes Hoola bronzer, but this is the liquid version. I thought it would be dark/ orange but gives a nice soft glow, or build up for dark :)

I have to wonder how they justify saying 'worth £9.95' on a national magazine. I had a look yesterday and - although in a bigger box - it's the same 5ml size as I've received previously as a sample. By my calculations, based on the full size 30ml bottle retailing at £22.50, it's worth £3.75! Still a good freebie and I like Benefit products but I find their claim a bit misleading.

By our calculations, too, edawn! I guess if you're a subscriber and pay less per issue but still get the freebies it's worth it, or you'd buy the magazine anyway :) Have updated our insert above to reflect the new information - thanks!
