    Greetings Super Sixers. :D

    Have been informed from my sources that the following super 6 deals are happening.

    W/C 24th February for 2 weeks.

    Little Gem Lettuce x 2
    Spring Onions x Bunch
    Lemons x 3
    Chanteney Carrots ( size unknown)
    White Cabbage.
    Celery

    All at 39p.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    W /C 10th March For 2 weeks.
    Parsnips . x 500gms
    Leeks. x 3
    New potatoes . x 500 gms
    Brown onions x 1kg
    Carrots x 1kg ( regular carrots)
    Broccoli x 500gms
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Nothing too exciting sadly but some salad/coleslaw recipes for the first 2 weeks, followed by veggie soup or slow cooker recipes for second 2 weeks are always welcome.

    thankyou very useful...first lot im thinking coleslaw, celery soup, spring onions for a stir fry, lettuce with the packups and a re run of pancake day with the lemons

    second lot...carrots/broccoli to accompany teas. onions for my stash in the garage, pots and leeks for soup and nothing doing with the parsnips...hate them but one out of 12 not liked is great

    thanks again

    Teahfc - thank you again, much appreciated.

    I don't think they are too bad at all, bits from both weeks fro myself.
    Minestrone with the first lot as I only buy celery when cheap or reduced.
    A good selection for the second lot for dinners.

    I hope it spurs the others to try and compete more, which Asda and Morries seem to be doing a little at the moment - some good 50p offers about. Sainsbury's and Tesco are left behind in the cheap fruit and veg deals. lol
    Lidl have it moments.

    Something what I have in Spain as a starter is little gem lettuce cut into quarters and then drizzled with olive oil and a pinch of sea salt.
    Also cut into cubes and fried streaky bacon on top also ticks a few boxes.
